Brand values task 100-10-1




  • 1)  McDonald's is the world's leading global food service retailer with over 36,000 locations serving approximately 69 million customers in over 100 countries each day. Its brand values would be about quality and sustainability. McDonald's could fit into a few of Gillian Dyer's lines of appeal : happy families , comedy & humour. Happy families - Mcdonalds target people of all ages. This is obvious from their use of their mascot 'Ronald McDonald' who is a big interest for young children and their TV adverts use the slogan 'we all have Mcdonalds in common' which signifies that it targets people of all ages.
  • McDonald's is for people of all ages.

  • 2) Apple  is an American multinational technology company which is  head quartered in Cupertino, California. It is a company that designs, develops, and sells consumer electronics, computer software, and on-line services. Apple could fit into a few of Gillian Dyer's lines of appeal. Luxurious lifestyles and successful careers are two of them as apple have big prices on the products so it could been seen as an expensive company for wealthy people and their products have soft wares that are used by people with big careers. Lastly apple fits into happy families too as its products do have softwares and games aimed at young children.

  • 3) Costa coffee is a British multinational coffee-house company which is head-quartered in Dunstable, England.  Its brand values would be about quality, lifestyle and a personal touch as you can personalise your beverages with things like extra whip cream etc. Costa fits into a few of Gillan Dyer's lines of appeal. Successful careers would be one of them as a lot of costa's customers are middle - aged business men and women. Also elite as costa's beverages are a bit pricey compared to normal café's which could mean Costa could be seen as a more prestige type of coffee shop.

  • 4) Audi  is a German auto mobile manufacturer that designs, engineers, produces, markets and distributes luxury auto mobiles. Audi can fit into several of Gillian Dyer's lines of appeal. Elite people are experts are two of them because their brand is seen as classy and sophisticated from the way how it is advertised. Audi show rooms are filled with men who wear smart suits which show sophistication. It also fits into successful careers as their car prices are very high so if you own an Audi car you will be seen as a wealthy successful person.

  • 5)Christian Dior SE, commonly known as Dior, is a European luxury goods company controlled and chaired by French businessman Bernard Arnault . It is aimed at successful people with a luxurious lifestyle. Dior is a brand that has high values and is aimed at elite people.It could fit into a number of Gillian Dyer's lines of appeal. Elite and successful people are two of them as its prices for its clothing and products are quite high which means it could be aimed at wealthy people. 
  •   Gucci is seen as successful, seductive and luxurious.
